Flaxseed oil, the miracle oil!

There is scientic evidence from worldwide studies that have shown that using Flaxseed oil (linseed oil) boosts the immune system, promotes anti-tumor activity, normalizes blood pressure levels and inhibits cancer cell growth. So in other words, the implication is that it is good against cancer. To prevent cancer, to stop it from growing, etc. Now I haven’t read any of the scientific studies on the matter but I’m always concerned when something is so good, it can help fight or prevent cancer.

What we do know is that the essential fatty acids (EFAs) contained in flaxseed oil are aiding in the fat metabolism, which is why it is so popular in context of weight loss. This effect in fat metabolism is what makes flaxseed oil beneficial in terms of cholesterol levels, blood pressure, circulation and overall cardiovascular health.

It makes you pretty too! Flaxseed oil (or rather the EFAs, let’s be clear about this) help with skin problems, such as acne, dry skin, eczema and psoriasis. Other benefits that one can read about are in context of allergies, osteo-arthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, viral illness, diabetes, inflammation, multiple sclerosis, ulcerative colitis, and liver problems.

Flaxseed oil even has cognitive enhancement abilities! I wonder whether it is the flaxseed oil industry that makes these claims. Apparently flaxseed oil can lift your overall energy levels, improve learning ability, help with nerve problems and dampen mood swings, particularly those caused by PMS. Reading this, I’ll put flaxseed oil on Saggybutt’s diet straight away.
