According to the South Beach Diet Web site, “The South Beach Dietâ„¢ Online introduces our customers to fabulous foods and taste sensations, with hundreds of delicious recipes, flexible guides for eating out, and advice on how to shop for healthy and wholesome ingredients.

USA Today summed it up best: “Unlike the Atkins diet, Agatston’s plan steers dieters away from saturated fat found in butter and fatty meats like hamburger and bacon and encourages the consumption of monounsaturated fats like olive oil and omega-3 fatty acids found in fish“.

Well there you have it! You may or may not know that flaxseed oil (linseed oil) is a rich, vegetarian source of omega 3 and omega 6 essential fatty acids. That’s what I have for breakfast, every day! It’s good for the skin too, I noticed. Not only will I become a slim trim sports machine, I’ll be pretty too!

Personally, what I eat follows more the Zone Diet, which sets a certain amount of carbs, protein and fat for the daily intake. Of course I am following this diet more than loosely (and I am not counting carbs, calories or anything), but for my plan to give a hearty good riddance to MrTubby, the zone diet appears to make most sense.
