It’s getting easier
It’s the third day. My morning exercise consisted of lat pull downs and standing rows (using the 30 kg barbell - ouch). I noticed how much more comfortable it is when I use a narrower grip on the lat pull down instead of the using the full width of the bar, using the designated handles. I don’t know, I feel much less like a crucified monkey when I use the narrower grip and it reminds me more of a more natural chin-up-like movement.
This morning’s powerwalk was already a little bit easier. I delivered my morning bribe (speak, coffee) to Saggybutt 15 minutes earlier, and to my satisfaction I noticed that I had to battle less resistance than the previous two days.
Being a bit wiser, we wore longsleeve shirts as it can get a bit chilly during the brisk morning walk. What both Saggybutt and I noticed was that the walking was noticably easier than the first two days! We’re making progress! I think our bodies were getting over the initial shock (what? exercise? you trying to kill me?) and have begun to actual do something useful with the oxygen that’s being offered. I was really getting quite hungry during our walk and I downed my protein drink immediately after we got home. The satisfaction of living an active lifestyle is beginning to wash over me!
