The first week is over!
Well it’s been a week and I’ve exercised every day! I didn’t really cut down on any of the foods that I like, au contraire! I ate all the foods I liked, including beer, pasta and ice-cream, but unlike previous times, I didn’t finish the whole 1 kg ice cream box in one go!
My electronic scale with body impedance driven body fat measurements (wow, what a mouth-full) said… 91.5 kg, 22.5% body fat. I am gaining weight! Argh! But I think I’ve been gaining mostly water in my muscleroonies, or so I pray. It’s all the creatine, I pray. It’s all my resistance exercise that I do every day, prior to the power walk. I may have put on some muscles and also volumised them with water. Or so I pray.
Truthfully, since I haven’t been starving my body at all, I think it might actually be true. I may have really put on some muscle mass. At least I look a bit more solid in the shoulder area, that’s for sure. Quite nice really, I must say with healthy narcissism. So… all in all I am not anywhere nearer to a slimmer waist line, but I am growing the mitochondria that are so badly needed for actual fat burning. At least that’s what I am telling myself!
